Victoria asks:

I downloaded Notability on my iPad so I could easily get signatures on my doc as you said you found that one the best – however when it opens the filled in versions of the PDFS from the AG’s site as that’s what I use – they appear blank. Any tips on how to get them to appear filled in?

Hi Victoria, this is a common problem with PDFs.

PDF’s can be saved as editable, so you can start filling out a form in a PDF then for example send it to me, but Notability isn’t recognising the changes.

Here’s how you get around it. Instead of saving or exporting a PDF from the app you are using to edit them in, use this little secret in MacOS.

Start the process as if you were going to print, by opening the Print dialog box from the File menu, but instead of printing, choose the “Save as PDF” function. This process flattens the PDF and makes it uneditable.

Find the Save as PDF function in the Print dialog box to flatten a PDF.
