If you’ve seen people using AI in their business and you’re wondering how you could use it in yours, here’s a demonstration on how I’m using ChatGPT to reply to wedding enquiries with emails like this. Before you do steps like this you want to map out a succinct and customer-focused, value-adding. customer journey.
The goal with my customer journey is to provide value to my potential clients the whole way, to build trust and reputation, and obviously, one day secure their booking.
So in this tutorial, I’ll show you how I take their input from my contact form, take that to Zapier, and inside Zapier I have a zap that ads them to my email marketing list, checks their wedding date in my Google Calendar, sends them an instant personalised email that lets them know if I’m available or not, sends a text acknowledging that sometimes emails go to spam and they should look for the email I’ve just sent and wraps the whole process up without needing too much work from me.
A side note: in the tutorial, the SMS messages don’t send properly and they weren’t received until about six hours later. This was due to regulatory issues with my Twilio account. The Australian and US governments have recently introduced laws that make it harder for people to SMS spam, which is good, but it means people like me sending text messages like this need to tick more boxes. I thought I’d ticked them all beforehand, I hadn’t.
